Tiny Study

I'm trying to learn color and composition by doing these tiny studies (http://www.ctrlpaint.com/the-tiny-study/). I'm going to do more of these for a few days more to cut down the time spending on each one and loosen up.

DSC - Cassie Hack

I haven't done the Daily Sketch Challenge for a while. All the Halloween themes are not helping my recent nightmares. I like her character design though so I decided to try. I took an hour instead of 30 mins again, enjoyed it too much.

Little monster

I call him Itsey.

It's nice to just draw something fun. I had this image of a happy little green monster with orange turf of hair and orange scarf sitting on a tree, so I tried to draw it out. Not quite the design in my head but I'm happy with his happy face.

Landscape painting - week 1

Homework week 1. Using oil paint, getting my feet wet, and paint mess everywhere @____@.

That was fun. Now I'm facing the dilemma of how to carry all the stuff to the site tomorrow, and transporting the finished, still wet, oil, paintings...

More portrait

Finally finished this one for another friend.

I just finished reading the book Acting for Animators by Ed Hooks. An excellent book dealing with behavioral psychology. I highly recommend all animators to pick up a copy. It also explains why rotoscoping animation's acting doesn't match with the voice acting in many 3D movies (*cough* Resident Evil Damnation).

I owe many portraits to my friends, and more just keep asking me @___@ I must stop taking requests.

Quick sketches

Practicing using pixelovely again. 30 seconds gestures and 2 minutes animal sketches. Quicker gestures forced me to eliminate more details now.
